Last night we doubled with my parents and saw Ben Folds and The Utah Symphony in concert. It was so much fun. The atmosphere was wonderful- we were surrounded by the gorgeous mountains in Deer Valley, and the weather was perfect. Such a good night.

Parade Camp
The month of July is all about patriotism and PARADES.
and I have definitely participated in my fair share of parades this month... Danz-4-Ever is involved in 3 of them and so far we have made it through two.
The last parade was in Farmington for the Farmington Festivities. It was unbelievably hot and the walk was pretty long but it was so much fun none-the-less. We danced almost the whole way through and when we were not dancing we were screaming a cadence at the top of our lungs. Talk about some serious dancing dedication.
When the parade was over we hit the festival to have a look at the shops and vendors. You know, most people go to the festival and bring home jewelry or house decorations... Not the Hollowell's... We brought home a kitten! Oh. and I got pink hair too.
The real 4th of July
Finally... it's the fourth!
The fourth of July was a funny day for me. It was the first day I actually felt like a "grown up". Like suddenly I was old.
My grandma called me a few days prior to let me know what the family plans were and what time the party was starting. Before hanging up the phone she asked; "What are you bringing to dinner?". I wasn't sure what she meant but she couldn't possible by asking me to contribute to the pot-luck was she? Oh you bet she was! Apparently now that I am a married woman (aka "grown up") I am responsible for bringing food to the family parties...
Grown-up or not, we had a blast on the fourth of July.
Please note that Raymo rocked his Scotland football (soccer) jersey on the 4th. I loved it.

cul-de-sac of FIRE!
Since the fourth of July landed on a Sunday this year we celebrated not only one day, but two days!
double the food
double the fun
double the friends
double the fireworks
Awesome.
Yeehaw!
Life has been a non-stop party since the wedding. We got home just in time for the fourth of July celebrations to start and there was no shortage of holiday partying for the Hollowell's.
We kicked things off with a trip to the Rodeo. Raymo, Dave McQueen (Raymo's friend from Scotland and best man) and myself all donned our cowboy duds and headed to Oakley for some down-home fun.
Now, you know me... I am crazy about anything horse. What I wouldn't give to trade in my darling apartment for the smelly stables. I could take the great outdoors, I know I could. So just imagine how excited I was to be at the rodeo... Now, just imagine how excited the boys were to be at their VERY FIRST RODEO! Yep, I'd day it was a pretty exciting night for all of us.
