About a week ago I received word from the embassy here in Britain. It basically gave me two links saying everything you need to know is here. I have to say it was that. I came across a list of things I have to collect: Police Certificates, Vaccination Information, MORE EVIDENCE ......... as well as about 5 forms to fill in. Anyway, I've started so fingers crossed it's one last push to get this visa stuff over and done with. I guess we will find out.......
Look at the man... Seriously, Could I be any luckier?
(In real life his head and body are proportionate)
Raymond and I hit the streets of Glasgow for a fun night to celebrate our first Valentines together. We started the night off with a drink at Capitol, had Italian for dinner and hit the movie theater to see Valentine's Day.
And as if the night could not have been any better...
We found out our I-129F petition was approved. Talk about the best way to end the night.
Since receiving our "Request for Evidence" Raymo and I have made a running joke out of taking pictures primarily for the evidence. While I was in Scotland we rarely documented our days except for the occasional picture to prove we were actually together. Ok, so maybe it wasn't just for the evidence... Raymo and I had such a wonderful time together. We got to spend lots of time with family and friends (old and new), explored new places and enjoyed many dates out on the town.
I was so excited to see a letter from Homeland Security in the mail today! Anything post-marked Laguna Niguel with the USCIS logo makes my heart skip a beat. I very UNcarefully ripped open the letter hoping to see the word APPROVED in bold letters
But
Guess
What?
Instead, I saw this...
REQUEST FOR EVIDENCE
Are
You
Joking?
Raymo and I have been asked to submit more "evidence" to prove we have a legitimate relationship. Technically we have until February 20th to turn it in but I am scrammbling to get it all together and out the door before I leave for Scotland in one short (or long) week. Not only do we have to provide more evidence but until we do, our case is on hold. So much for hearing back by the beginning of March...
